Browser Task Manager in Microsoft Edge
Almost all operating systems use an integrated task manager that allows users to view and control the currently active processes on their system. Some web browsers, such as Google Chrome, also offer one to help users eliminate problematic processes, tabs, and extensions. Designed in the same spirit, Browser Task Manager in Edge allows you to delete unwanted tasks or processes.
To access the browser task manager in Edge, simply:
- Click & #39;Settings and more'Option
- Scroll to "More tools" and select "Browser Task Manager"
- Alternatively, you can use the shortcut key – Shift + Escape to launch the browser task manager.

When you try to delete a rendered engine process that populates a tab, you may receive an error message in the content area informing you that this tab is getting more content. This is because the rendering is already dead. Ideally, when you have completed the process, the tab should not remain open and should disappear. It may not happen.
