Apple has rolled out the watchOS 9 Public Beta build number 20R5316f. This test version is available for all compatible Apple Watch models, as soon as the watchOS 9 Beta profile is installed.
Important: Before you continue, be aware that the test builds are buggy and lacking in performance! Also, unlike iPhones, downgrading from watchOS 9 to watchOS 8 is not possible. The only way to do that is at an Apple Store!
WatchOS 9 Public Beta Download
First you need to download the watchOS 9 Beta profile and enroll Apple Watch in the Apple Beta Software program:
- 1. On the paired iPhone, Login to your account on the Appl Beta Software Program website.
Point: iPhone must be running iOS 16 public beta!
- 2. Faucet Download profileavailable in the watchOS 9 section.
- 3. Allow Apple Watch to download watchOS 9 beta profile.
- 4. Install profile and allow your AW to To restart.

- 5. In the Watch app on iPhone, choose Settings -> General -> Software Update.
- 6. Faucet Download and install. Be patient until the watchOS 9 public beta update is requested, downloaded, and prepared for the update.
- seven. Faucet Install now, Accept on Apple’s terms and be patient until the update is verified and rolled out to Apple Watch.
Point: The device must be on its charger with a battery level above 50%.
