The $ WinREAgent folder is usually created during an upgrade or update and is used in case a restore is necessary.
It is created by Windows recovery environment which works as a solution when the system does not start. WinRE can repair common problems that prevent the Windows operating system from starting. When it is finished, most of its content is deleted.
It is a hidden folder and to see it you have to force Windows to show hidden files and folders.
If you see the folder now on a healthy system, you will see that it may contain another empty subfolder named Stripe.
You will not find more details in the $ WinREAgent folder, except the size which displays only 0 bytes.
If you decide to delete it, you can continue and delete it.
If you are having problems updating your system, deleting the WinREAgent folder may be one of the solutions that can help you install the updates.
