10 Ways to Fix Action Center Not Visible or Showing on Taskbar in Windows 10
It could have been disabled. It could be a mistake. This could be one of the many problems that we will try to solve below. Stay with us until the end or until you find a solution that works for you.
Let's start.
1. Disable and re-enable system icons
Press Windows key + I to open Settings and look for Enable or Disable System Icons and select it.
Make sure Action Center is activated here, otherwise that's the problem here. If it is enabled, disable it and then turn it back on to restart things.
This can help easily fix the Action Center that is not visible or displayed in the problem in the taskbar.
2. Keyboard shortcut
There is a keyboard shortcut that you can use to launch Action Center from any screen. Press Windows key + A to do so. I hope it works.
3. Action Center settings
Open the settings on your computer as you did before, and this time search for Action Center. Select Make Startup, the taskbar and the Transparent Action Center option here.
Disable transparency effects here and scroll down a bit.
Uncheck the two options under Show accent color on the following surfaces.
As you may have guessed, the transparency settings could be responsible for the fact that Action Center was not visible or simply hidden from view.

4. Restart
Try restarting your computer once. This can help solve common problems like lack of system resources and random errors.
5. Restart Windows Explorer
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard to open Task Manager. Find Windows Explorer under the Processes tab, right click on it and select Restart.
This will close all existing windows and even open applications in the background. Remember to save all of your work.
6. Re-Register Action Center
Find and open PowerShell with administrator rights from the Start menu. You can also press Windows + X to launch a hidden menu and open elevated PowerShell from there.
Copy and paste the command below to run it. You don't want to make a typo. Right-click anywhere in the PowerShell window to paste the command (scroll right to select the entire command) and run it directly.
Get-AppxPackage | % { Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppxManifest.xml" -verbose }
Check again whether Action Center is visible or is now displayed or not in the taskbar of Windows 10 computer.
7. SFC and DISM
Find and open the command prompt with administrator rights.
Type the command below and press the Enter key.
sfc /scannow
Wait for it to finish, then execute the three commands below consecutively and press Enter.
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

8. Hacking the registry
Find and open Registry Editor on your computer with administrator rights.
Access the folder structure below.
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows
Right-click anywhere in the right pane and select DWORD Value (32-bit) under New to create a new file.
Name this file as Explorer and create another one and name it DisableNotificationCenter. Leave the first file alone and open the second to enter the value 0 in the Value data field. Restart your computer.
Go to step below if the Action Center is still not visible or is not working. Access this folder structure now.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionImmersiveShell
Create another 32-bit DWORD file and this time, name it UseActionCenterExperience. Open it and set the value to 0, as you did above.
Restart your PC and try again.
9. New user account
Open the settings again and select Add someone else to this PC under Settings> Accounts> Family & other users.
Click the "I don't have this person's login information" link.
Select the option "Add user without Microsoft account".
Enter the username and password in the next field and complete the process.
10. Restore
Restoring your computer to an earlier point in time will not result in the deletion of files or applications. It will simply return to the computer to what it was that day. This is the last solution to try if nothing else works. Although the method is safe, I recommend that you make a backup of your data first.
Act now
Action Center is a great addition to the Windows 10 operating system. It makes it easy to manage notifications and, when you combine it with your phone app, it will make you really productive. Hope Action Center is now showing up and working where it should.
