8 Ways to Fix Instagram Not Working, Loading, or Crashing Issue
These may seem like different problems, but most often, their solutions are similar or identical. That's why I am putting them together in a little practical guide.
Let's start.
1. Update of the operating system
Well, Android is not very popular for receiving OS updates on time. Except when you use a custom operating system such as OxygenOS or maybe MIUI where updates are updated and available as soon as possible.
Open the settings and click About Phone, and then tap System Update. You can check for Android OS updates here and do the necessary. Always connect to a power source before updating.
2. Reinstall Instagram
Most applications publish patches on a regular basis, and Instagram is no different. Open Play Store and click Menu to select My Apps & Games.
Check if there is an update for Instagram, especially if you are part of the beta test program of Instagram. If there is one, apply the update, open Instagram and check if the application crashes or does not load.
If the update of the application does not work, you must reinstall it. Before doing this, make sure to check point 6 below to find out how to remove all data from the application.
3. Try the Web
Open your favorite browser on a computer or smartphone and check if Instagram is loading or not. If it works well, you can use it from there temporarily. You know, as a quick fix? If it does not load, the problem may not be your problem at all. Read the following point for more details in this case.
4. Instagram is down
I've noticed a few instances of Instagram in the news lately. A quick and easy way to check if Instagram is working or not is to use Down Detector. Mark it now and you can thank me later.
The application was down 3 times only during the last week, affecting different aspects of the application. There is a live fault map, use it to see if the problem is global or affects a selected area. They usually have servers around the world to stream content more quickly.
5. Antivirus
The steps will depend on the antivirus application you use, but here is the basic premise. First, disable the antivirus to check if it resolves the Instagram error. If so, some settings of your antivirus block the application application. If nothing happens, go to the next point. Maybe Instagram is not on the white list, blocked or given the necessary permissions. Go through the antivirus application to make sure everything is in order.
6. Delete cache and data
Old data and cache files can disrupt the operation and behavior of an application. Deleting these files will have no effect. You will need to reconnect. Open Settings and tap Manage apps, then find and open Instagram.
Tap Clear data at the bottom and select Erase all data and Erase both.
Go back and login to Instagram and check again.
7. Permission to apply
Go back to where you deleted the cache and you will see the permissions of the application. Tap it once to make sure the services you want to use with the Instagram app have the necessary permissions.
If you go back, you will also notice other permissions. Again, make sure that the necessary permissions are enabled.
8. Network or data problem
Have you checked your data plan? Maybe you missed some data? Connect to a Wi-Fi network to check and confirm whether Instagram is loading or not. It is also possible that there is a network problem. Ask a friend on another network and see if he can access Instagram.
Open the settings and under the More option, tap Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, and Bluetooth. If you are using an iPhone or iPad, open Settings and under General, click Reset.
Tap Reset network settings and do not touch anything else.
Note that you will need to reconnect with all registered Wi-Fi networks by entering passwords. So be sure to write them down somewhere before you start.
