How to Block SMS in SMS Organizer and Other Cool Tips
However, the application is absolutely not perfect and an unwanted message can sometimes end up in your notifications. Fortunately, applications include a feature that allows you to block other messages from the same sender.
And that's what we're going to talk about in this article. So let's see how to block incoming SMS with the help of SMS Organizer application.
How to block SMS in SMS Organizer
So, if you're tired of receiving spam from a sender, follow these simple steps to block all incoming messages from that particular number:
Step 1: Open the SMS Organizer app and press and hold to select a message from the number you want to block.
2nd step: Then press the file icon in the top toolbar next to the delete icon.
Step 3: In the next window, press the Blocked option to have the application move the message to the stuck folder.
After that, all incoming messages of the same number will automatically go into the blocked folder. In addition, you will not receive any notification for these messages. Pretty simple, no?
Now, if you still want to read these messages, you must access the Locked folder of the application. However, unlike the Personal, Transactions, and Promotions folders, the blocked folder does not appear on the home page. You will need to follow these steps to access all blocked messages:
Step 1: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the application's home page.
2nd step: In the drop-down menu, click Blocked to open the Blocked folder.
All your blocked messages will appear in this folder, including the ones you received after blocking the contact.
If you have a change of mind and want to receive the contact's messages again, follow these steps to unblock the number:
Step 1: Long press the blocked message you want to unlock.
2nd step: Tap on the file icon in the top toolbar next to the delete icon.
Step 3: In the next pop-up window, tap the folder where you want to move the messages.
And that's all. This action will move the entire contact thread to the folder you selected and you will receive notifications again.
Blocking messages from any contact is just one of the many things the app can do. And if you just started using the app, here are some other tips that will help you get the most out of it.
Specific silent contacts
The application allows you to completely block the messages of a particular contact, and you can also disable them. This is useful when you want to stop receiving message notifications from a contact, but still want messages to arrive in one of the main inboxes.
To disable a sender, just tap the message thread. Then touch the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner and select the Mute Sender option from the drop-down menu. Once you have successfully cut the thread, a mute icon will be displayed next to it.
To reactivate the sender, hold down the thread once more. Then tap the same menu icon and select Enable Sender Sound from the drop-down menu. The mute icon should then disappear from this thread. Pretty simple, is not it?
Create reminders
Another interesting thing about the app is that it automatically configures reminders for upcoming events, pending bills, and so on. by reading the content of incoming messages. These reminders appear in the App Reminders tab, which also allows you to set custom reminders.
To set a custom reminder, move to the tab and then tap the bell icon in the lower left corner. Then add a description of the reminder in the following pop-up window, set a date or time for the reminder, attach the corresponding SMS if necessary, and press Create.
And it's not just that. You can also create a reminder for a particular message from the feed itself. Just open the wire and long press a message to select it.
Then tap the three-point menu icon and select the Add Reminder option from the drop-down menu. The rest of the process remains the same. However, the corresponding SMS is already associated with the callback in this case.
Delete messages automatically
If you do not want your inbox to be cluttered, you can set an automatic delete schedule to delete old messages. To do this, touch the three-dot menu icon in the home screen of the application and go to the Settings menu of the following menu.
Here, select the option Message Rules. Then configure an automatic removal schedule for OTP messages, promotional messages, and blocked messages.
You have the option to set the frequency between three days and one year. Just select an option and the application will automatically delete blocked messages, promotional messages and blocked messages within the given time.
Organize your inbox
Since its launch, the SMS Organizer app is a fan favorite. It's one of the few applications that is always on my phone no matter what. Unfortunately, the application has been limited to the Indian region for a while. Earlier this month, the app was finally broadcast in other regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, allowing more users to take advantage of benefits of an organized inbox.
