Lock screen settings on One UI 2.0
To customize or disable this feature, you will need to access the Settings page. There are two ways to do this. Either head towards settings > Lock screen > Lock screen stories settings. The other method is to tap on the Information icon and then on the settings switch to the bottom right. You will then be taken to Lock settings for screen stories. Now follow the sections below to customize the lock screens for your One UI 2.0 devices. However, if you have an Oppo or Realme device, refer to our separate guide to deactivate the Lockscreen magazine in Color OS.
Customizing lock screen images
To customize the lock screen images, go to Track Categories section. You now have the choice between 19 categories. Apart from that, you also have the option to switch to images of other languages, including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
In addition, you also have the option of adding your own images to the lock screen. To do this, tap the plus icon next to the Add your photos to the lock screen option. You can add up to 5 images. The lock screen images will then be mixed between these five images only on your A user interface 2.0 devices.
It is also recommended to browse Update stories section. By default, it has been set to Use of Wi-Fi and mobile data. In case there is no WiFi connectivity, your data could be consumed each time the image is refreshed. This may not be a good practice if you do not have an unlimited data pack. So it’s better to go ahead with Use Wi-Fi option only.
Disable these images
However, if you’re not a fan of these ever-changing lock screen images, consider disabling them together on your One UI 2.0 devices. It would also save your Internet connection and your battery, although it is not drastic, any recording is appreciable. So to turn it off, head to the Lock screen stories settings page and just turn off the toggle at the top. Apart from that, you can also display incoming calls in a mini pop-up window on One UI 2.0. See the guide for more information.
