How to Schedule Social Posts in Canva

After dominating the graphic design space for years, Canva is back with another useful add-on for designers and influencers. With a new scheduling feature, you can easily share a Canva banner or template on social media networks like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, and more. Here’s how to schedule social media posts in Canva.

Before we go ahead, let’s clarify one thing. Programming with social sharing is limited to Canva Pro users only. You can either sign up for a few weeks free trial or pay for a monthly or yearly plan to get started.

If you’re a free Canva user, you’ll see the Scheduling add-on grayed out on the desktop, which means it’s not available to you. In this article, we’ll first schedule a Canva post to Twitter using the Canva desktop.

With the free version of Canva, you can easily share a Canva creation on many social networks like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Plus, the Schedule feature gives you more power over sharing.

It can also be the perfect tool for someone who regularly advertises on these channels. You can schedule all of your content in Canva and schedule it to your favorite social media account.

Now let’s schedule a Canva post on Twitter.

Step 1: Open Canva on the desktop and sign in using your account credentials. Make sure you are using Canva Pro to access the Schedule feature.

Step 7: You will see your preferred date and time at the top. Select a channel and click on your favorite social network channel from the next menu. Here we select Twitter.

Step 8: Canva will ask you to log into the selected social media platform to post the post at some point.

Step 9: Authorize Canva to access your social media account. You will see your profile picture with your social media account in Canva.

Step 10: Select Canva content type like PNG, GIF or MP4 video and write your Tweet below in 280 characters.

Step 11: Tap Schedule Post and your post is ready to serve on the date and time you select on your favorite social media channel.

How to edit scheduled social posts in Canva

Your sales post is about to schedule in two days. But now you want to change the discount from 50% to 60% and change the post upload time.

This is where Canva’s excellent Content Planner comes in. It offers a monthly calendar view and showcases the social posts about to go live soon. Follow the steps below to learn how to use Canva Content Planner to edit scheduled social posts.

Step 5: Click Edit this design. Canva will notify you when the post is rescheduled.

Step 6: Make the necessary adjustments from the familiar editing interface and reprogram the post by following the steps above.

At any time, you can easily edit, delete, change date and time of scheduled social posts using the Content Planner menu.

Create a final design in Canva and tap the Share menu at the top. Then scroll horizontally and find the Schedule option. Click on it, select the date and time, select the social media channel, and you’re ready to schedule social media posts from Canva mobile.
