How to Turn off Google Assistant Bill Reminders
Google tries to make life easier by showing us these things. However, some people do not like the reminders posted by Google. Primarily for privacy reasons and sometimes the bill has already been paid and yet Google sends a reminder.
As a result, if you do not like the Google Assistant Invoice Reminder feature, we'll explain how to disable it. But before that, let Google know about your bills and other information.
How does the Google Assistant know that your bills are due?
You're probably wondering how Google got all this information about your flights, packages and invoices. Do not worry. Your details are not compromised.
Google analyzes your emails. Only emails from your Gmail account and not other email accounts. For example, if the Google Account that's connected to your phone contains emails from your credit card companies, your travel agents, etc., Google will extract the relevant information and show you. This is how Google gets information about your upcoming bills.
How to disable Google Assistant Invoice Notifications
To do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Launch the Google app on your phone.
2nd step: Tap the More tab at the bottom and select Settings in the next screen.
Step 3: Tap Notifications. On the next screen, turn off the toggle for bills.
The above will prevent Google from reminding you of upcoming bills. However, this will not prevent Google from scanning your bills. You can still see your bills in the Google App Update section and the wizard, as shown below.
Take control
I like the bill reminders posted by Google Assistant. This often allowed me to pay my bills before the due date. But, of course, everyone is different. Google should provide dedicated buttons to disable information you do not want to track. Hopefully we will see such a button someday in the Google app.
