HMD Global’s ultra-economical smartphone, the Nokia 2.3, is finally coming to the shelves of the largest e-commerce site in the United States. After launching in Best Buy last month, the smartphone is finally available for pre-order via Amazon US. It will begin shipping on February 9 with a price of only $ 129 USD.
“Consumers around the world have truly appreciated the Nokia 2 family of products. The Nokia 2.3 is a step forward in our promise to provide you with an experience that stays fresh longer – giving consumers access to two years of updates Operating system level and three years of monthly security updates, even at an affordable price, “said Juho Sarvikas, Officer Product Manager for HMD Global.
“In addition, it offers cutting-edge AI for this segment, a large screen and our two-day battery life promise – making it the ideal choice for those who rely on their smartphones as their primary screen.”
The Nokia 2.3 will not replace your current mid-range smartphone. It even targets steps below the mid-range segment. So don’t expect it to give you heavy enough performance. Although it is safe nevertheless fluid for the most basic tasks.
In terms of design, the Nokia 2.3 is quite similar to most smartphones today. It has the fashionable teardrop notch on its large 19: 9 screen, which comes to 6.2 inches with standard HD + resolution. In addition, HMD is even nice to include a dual rear camera on the back (which we will talk about in the last part).
Inside, the SoC MediaTek Helio A22 powers the Nokia 2.3, with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal space. It’s an old processor. But again, it’s not for people who love mobile games. Although we are pretty sure he can reduce some of his powers. It is also part of the Android One program, so it is surely well optimized.
For imaging, the teardrop notch on the Nokia 2.3 houses a 5MP sensor with f / 2.4 lens. On the back, it has a 13MP sensor with f / 2.2 lens and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. Although HMD highlights the AI powered night mode on this phone, the setup is nothing too sophisticated. Keeping the lights on is the 4000mAh battery.
Like the Best Buy sale, pre-order on Amazon US is only available for the Sand and Charcoal colors. So if you’re one of those hoping for this pretty Cyan Green, it will never be available anytime soon.
Again, shipping begins on February 9, with a price of only $ 129 USD.
