Shutdown computer after downloads complete in Chrome and Firefox
I'm used to downloading large files at night. Not only is the speed better, but I can allocate all the bandwidth to downloads. However, the only caveat is that the computer continues to operate after this. So here is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox that will automatically shutdown your Windows 10 PC once downloads are complete.

While many have timeout settings for the PC, which puts it to sleep, if this happens during the download it will be interrupted. So we need a solution that takes care of this, because changing the idle time of the computer every day will be boring. We recommend Automatic shutdown extension for Chrome and Firefox. The Chrome extension will also work on the Microsoft Edge browser.
It is a combination of extensions and software. Once you have both in place, the extension once the download is complete will trigger the software to execute a custom command. You can choose to hibernate the PC to save energy if you want to keep the working state for the next day. A notification or countdown will appear on the computer in case you are there and want to stop the shutdown.

Once you've installed, be sure to set the following:
- Delay before execution of the order gives you enough time to cancel the stop. You will need to execute "Shutdown -a" to cancel the shutdown.
- The types of commands it can execute include Shutdown Suspend, Hibernate, Restart, etc. It also
- Check the option that keeps the conspicuous stop counter. You will not miss the download counter at any time.
- Keep the box checked Keep the system awake when the toolbar is active, and there is a download job in progress. It will ensure that the computer does not enter sleep or hibernation.
Once the options are set, click on test native integration to configure the software. It will open a new tab where you will get the link to download the file. Unzip it, then double-click the install.bat file. Make sure to keep it in a place you remember in case you need it again for uninstalling.
The script (install.bat) takes the necessary steps to be able to execute the command once the download is complete. If you stop using the extension, run the uninstall.bat file to remove it.
The only drawback is that you cannot run a custom script. But since it allows you to modify existing commands, you can basically execute any command once the download is complete.
The stop counter that is displayed will have the option of executing the command immediately or canceling it. This is why delay is useful.

Note: There had been a lot of extensions and download managers that offered such functionality, but currently none of them support it. Even the free download manager no longer has the option of shutting down the computer.
