Top 8 Ways to Fix Android Phone Not Receiving Texts

1. Check the network connection

Before applying any advanced tips to fix the problem, let’s check the network connection first. Make sure you have a full signal bar in the notification center.

You can also turn on Airplane mode and wait 60 seconds. Turn off Airplane mode from the notification center and you should receive text messages.

2. Unblock irrelevant numbers

In the past, you may have blocked certain numbers to stop receiving messages. It’s time to check the blocked numbers list and make some changes.

Is Google Messages spam protection too aggressive for you? This can end up blocking relevant messages. You can turn off spam protection completely from the app’s info menu. Here’s how.

Your OEM may have released the last month’s security patch. It’s time to check it out and install it from the Settings app.
