How to Install Windows 11 on Your Computer The Right Way
Microsoft has officially released a preview of Windows 11 for developers. The PC Health Check app lets you know if your computer meets the minimum requirements to run Windows 11. If so, we’ll show you how to sign up for the Windows Insider program and install Windows 11 on your computer the right way. .
Windows 11 brings a new modified UI, UX optimized for touch, new Windows menu, widgets, rounded corners, improved performance, smooth animations, support for Android apps, and more.
You can run your Windows 10 computer if the PC Health Check app generates an error. Multiple users with computers running Intel 7th or 6th generation processors can install Windows 11 without any issues. That said, you need to enable the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) from UEFI mode on your computer to continue hassle-free.
Since this version of Windows 11 Preview is intended for developers only, it may have a negative impact on performance. You might run into some bugs and issues. Therefore, install Windows 11 Preview at your own risk.

Sign up for the Windows Insider program
If you are already part of the Windows Insider program (Dev Channel), you should receive the Windows 11 version update under the Settings menu.
Those using the stable version of Windows 10 must register for the program using the official Microsoft website or the Windows Settings menu. Here’s how to do it.
Activate optional diagnostic data
First, Microsoft will ask you to enable optional diagnostic data in the Privacy menu. So that the business can learn from your use and get feedback on the new operating system.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on Windows 10 (use Windows + I keys).
2nd step: Go to the Privacy menu.
Step 3: Enabled Optional diagnostic data in the Diagnostics & Feedback menu.
Now let’s sign up for the Windows Insider program.
Use the Windows settings menu
Microsoft allows you to enroll in the Insider program using the Settings menu. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on Windows 10 (use Windows + I keys).
2nd step: Go to Update & Security.
Step 3: Select Windows Insider Program.
Step 4: Click on Get started.
Step 5: Select the Link an account option and select your Microsoft account from the list.
Step 6: Select Continuek and Windows will ask you to choose your Insider settings.
Step 7: Select Dev Channel and press the Confirm button at the bottom.
Step 8: Accept the terms and conditions and restart your Windows computer.
You are now ready to receive Windows 11 version on the computer.

Use the Windows Insider program website
If you are unable to enroll in the Windows Insider program from the Settings app, you must use the Windows Insider program website to get started.
Step 1: Visit the Windows Insider program website using the link below.
2nd step: Click the Register button on the home page.
Step 3: Sign in with your Microsoft account. Use the same Microsoft account that you added to your Windows 10 computer.
Step 4: After you have entered into several agreements, the system will sign you up for a beta test of the Windows operating system.
That’s it. You have successfully signed up for the Insider program to test Windows 11 and upcoming updates.
Now go to Windows Settings> Update & Security> Windows Insider Program and now you can select Insider settings to get Windows 11 version.
Install Windows 11 Insider Preview
You signed up for Windows 11 Insider Preview with your Microsoft account. Go ahead and download the Windows 11 version from the Settings app. Check out the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Settings app in Windows 10 (Windows keys + I).
2nd step: Open the Update & Security menu.
Step 3: Click Windows Update.
Step 4: Click Check for Updates.
Within minutes, Windows Updates will show you the version of Windows 11 and ask if you want to download it to your computer.
If you are using a laptop, plug it into the AC adapter and let the version download.
Depending on the quality of your connection, it may take some time to download the version.
Also, you should back up important data to external hard drive or cloud storage services like OneDrive or Google Drive to prepare for worst case scenario.
Our experience with Windows 11 so far
While it’s only been a day since deployment, we have successfully installed Windows 11 Home Edition on the HP Specter x360 running the Intel i5-7200U processor (officially not recommended by Microsoft). So far, there are no issues of concern and we are not using any obscure software or peripherals.
Since this is a preview beta intended specifically for developers, you might like it for your basic use. However, if your work depends on specific software, we do not recommend that you try it on your primary computer. Windows 11 falls short of supporting popular software to deliver optimal performance.
Getting started with Windows 11
While the first preview version of Windows 11 has rolled out, it is far from the official public version. It could undergo a series of changes under the hood. Until then, you can enjoy and familiarize yourself with Windows 11. That said, expect some bugs and issues if your Windows 10 computer is running a processor that is not officially supported.
