Microsoft Surface helps you take advantage of the latest technologies, but sometimes this feature is a problem. For example, when a Surface device is registered in Surface company management mode (SEMM), it prevents unauthorized changes to the surface UEFI parameters. Therefore, in order for the user to restore control of the UEFI surface parameters, it is necessary to unregister the SEMM device. Here is the way to unsubscribe Microsoft Surface from SEMM.
Unsubscribe Microsoft Surface from SEMM
You can choose to unregister your Microsoft Surface from SEMM using two methods:
- Unregistering the surface of SEMM with a recovery request
- Unregistering Surface with the UEFI reset package
The process of obtaining Microsoft Surface registration from SEMM is sometimes described as a reset or recovery.

The QR reading application will translate the QR code into an alphanumeric string. You can then send an email or message to the administrator who will produce the reset verification code using the Microsoft Surface EU Configurator. Otherwise, to use the recovery request (reset request) as text, simply enter the text directly into the Microsoft Surface EU Configurator.

2) Unregistering the surface with the UEFI reset package
The package is provided as a Windows Installer (.msi) file and resets the UEFI Surface configuration on a Surface device to its default settings. It also deletes the SEMM certificate and unregisters the SEMM device.
To create a reset package, you will need the serial number of the device you want to unsubscribe, as well as the SEMM certificate used to register the device.
If you know it, openMicrosoft Surface UEFI ConfiguratorOn the Start menu, go to Start and click 'Reset the package"
Now choose 'Certificate protection'To add your SEMM certificate file with the private key (.pfx).
