If you are an enthusiast of Android, you have a good chance of trying Google Camera on any phone that you buy. Thanks to dedicated developers like Arnova8G2, BSG and Urnyx05 who allowed users to wish and expect a Google Camera port for their devices. For most devices, these ports provide a significant improvement to the camera. The port of the Google Redmi K20 Pro camera works as expected for the camera too.
Where do these improvements come from? They come from the software processing built into the Google Camera app. If you followed, you've probably seen us cover so many Google Camera ports. The default camera app on a phone does not matter, Google Camera seems to improve it in almost all cases.
Do not forget that the Google Camera is not officially available for non-Pixel devices. Ports can not be polished as well as optimized for some hardware than the default software provided by the manufacturer.
Google Camera Port for Redmi K20 Pro
The XDA sannn111ty member is actually the one who brought the Google camera to the device. All the main functions of the camera such as HDR, RAW, ZSL, Flash, etc. work. Other modes such as portrait mode (front / back), night view (forward / backward), super res zoom, AR stickers and video recording also work very well.
Some things do not work, though. It's a port after all so some bugs are expected. For now, slow motion video does not work. If you use HDR +, the telephoto lens does not work either, but it works if you turn off HDR +. Since Google Pixel has only one rear camera, the Google camera was never designed to work with two camera sensors at the same time. Although the developers have found tips to make it work on other devices, not yet on the Redmi K20 Pro.
For the uninitiated, HDR + was the secret sauce behind the remarkable performance of the Google camera on the pixel. Night Sight is another novelty that helps users take amazing pictures in low light conditions without flash.
