The problem occurs mainly or is visible when the required services do not work or do not respond correctly. To fix,
- Run the VSSADMIN tool
- Check the status of the shadow copy service for volumes
- Check the service status of the Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Service provider
- Perform the operation in a clean startup state.

1) Run the VSSADMIN tool
The shadow copy provider is sensitive and other disk cloning, backup software, and so on. can stop it from working
Run the following command in a CMD to check if you have third-party VSS providers:
vssadmin list providers
If you find some, you may need to disable them.
If no one is found, continue.
2) Check the status of the shadow copy service for volumes
Press Win + R at the same time to display the 'Run& #39; dialog box. Type "services.msc" in the empty box and press the Enter key.
Then scroll down to find 'Volume Shadow Copy'Entrance.
Once found, double-click on the entry.
After that, the Volume Shadow Copy Properties box that appears, set the startup type toAutomatic (delayed start) » and click on the beginning button below. The default is Manual – but we set it to Automatic (delayed start).

3) Check the status of the Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Software Provider service
Similarly, set the startup type for 'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider' to Automatic (Delayed Start) and beginning the service. Again, the default is Manual – but we set it to Automatic (Delayed Start).
Finally, close Services and try.
4) Perform the operation in clean boot mode
Maybe there is a third party process. Perform a clean boot, and then try to perform the desired operation.
