3. Add quick settings

For those who don’t know, the quick settings panel is the tray of settings toggles that appear when you open the notification panel. You can even customize the quick settings panel.

Here are the steps to access screen recorder in Android 11:

Step 1: Open the notification panel on your phone. Drag down on the shadow again to view the full list of shortcuts. Otherwise, pull down the notification panel using the bar below the shortcuts.

2nd step: Swipe left to view various shortcuts. You will find the screen recording option. Tap on it to start recording (more info below).

In case the screen recording option does not appear, you will need to add it to the quick settings panel. To do this, open the Quick Settings panel and tap the Edit icon (which looks like a pencil).

Scroll down to view the full list of available settings. You should see Screen Record at the bottom. Touch and hold the Screen Recording shortcut and drag it to the top panel which consists of the icons that will appear in the Quick Settings panel.

Note: Once the screen recorder has been added to the quick settings, you can access it directly.

Go back and open the quick settings panel from the notification shade. Swipe left to view various shortcuts. Tap Screen recording to start recording.

4. Uninstall third-party screen recording apps
