Enable notifications while playing games or watching videos in full screen mode in Windows 10

When you play your favorite game or watch a video in full screen, you can also keep an eye on what’s going on in the background. As such, you can choose to receive important messages and notifications from Windows. Unfortunately, when you switch to a game or full screen window, you don’t get notifications. This default behavior can be corrected and you can activate notifications in full screen mode.

Enable full screen notifications in Windows 10

Although you cannot find any messages or notifications when using full screen mode, all of them are quietly moved to the Action Center where the user can read them later. To enable full screen notifications in Windows 10:

1. Open settings
2. Go to the Focus Assist section
3. Navigator to automatic rules
4. Activate when I play a game
5. Activate When I use an application in full screen mode.

Windows by default sets Focus Assist to hide notifications when you switch to full screen mode when playing games or watching videos. This can be changed by the following method.

1]Go to Focus Assist

Focus Assist also called Quiet Hours in earlier versions of Windows allows you to avoid annoying notifications when you need to stay focused and is set by default to activate automatically under certain conditions. Therefore,

Select the ‘Action Center“In the taskbar and choose”Development assistance“.

Then right click on it and select “Go to settings“.

2]Skip to automatic rules

In the right pane of focus assist settings, go to ‘Automatic rules“.

3]Enable notifications

Here you will see that two options are enabled by default,

• When i play a game
• When I use an application in full screen mode

Now, to allow important notifications and messages to be displayed even when playing games or entering full screen mode, turn off the options.

To do this, simply move the cursor to ‘Of‘position.

Likewise, if you don’t want to be distracted by these notifications when you need to stay focused, just activate the two options above. This way you can turn notifications on or off during presentations or during games.
