How to Install TWRP on OnePlus 7 Pro 2023

We've already shown you how root the OnePlus 7 Pro without TWRP. But rooting is much easier with TWRP without forgetting the other endless options it opens, from the installation of mods to custom ROMs. If you wish, you can install TWRP on OnePlus 7 Pro and here's how.

Installing a custom boot image or recovery on your device can be risky. OnePlus 7 Pro with an unlocked bootloader. Unlocking the boot loader will completely erase all data on the device. This includes applications, settings, and even the contents of the internal SD card (images, music, etc.). Copy all important files from the phone to a PC or download them to a cloud.
You will need a Windows, Mac or Linux computer with the tools of the Android SDK platform. You can download them by visiting the link below for Windows, Mac or Linux computers.
Activate USB debugging and OEM unlocking. If you have unlocked your boot loader, which is a necessity, you have already enabled OEM unlocking and you know how to enable USB debugging even if you have not enabled it after unlocking the boot loader. Make sure the device is loaded at least 50%.
Windows users will need to install the latest version OnePlus USB Drivers.

Enable advanced reboot (optional)

You do not have to do this, but it makes your life easier if you often have to start in recovery mode or in quick start mode. So go to settings > System > Developer options, then activate the rocker next to Advanced reboot.

Install TWRP Recovery on OnePlus 7 Pro

Assuming you have activated Advanced reboot, open the power menu by long pressing the power button.
To select Starter charger.
Alternately:
- Turn off your phone.
- Press and hold Mount the sound and Power button together on your OnePlus 7 until it goes into quick start mode.
Connect it to your PC via a USB cable and make sure the connection is not lost.
Now go to the platform-tools folder on your PC.
type cmd in the address bar and press Enter to open a command prompt window in the folder. On a Mac or Linux, right-click on the folder and select Open in the terminal.
Check the connection by entering the following command in the command prompt window or terminal.

fastboot devices
```
Depending on your Linux distribution, you will have to use ./ before each order. For example, this is not necessary if you are using Ubuntu, but it might be needed under Arch Linux. Mac users will also have to use it.
```
./fastboot devices
```
You should see the serial number of your device followed by the word fastboot.
In the terminal, enter this command now to start your device with TWRP.
```
fastboot boot /path/to/twrp-3.3.1-35-guacamole-unified.img
```
In the command above, replace /path/to/ with the actual path to the twrp file. You do not need to enter a path if the twrp file is already in the adb folder. Also make sure that you enter the correct name of the twrp image file. It is easier to drag and drop the file into the command prompt or terminal window to paste the full path with the name.
When your device boots during TWRP recovery, swipe the cursor at the bottom to allow the recovery to modify your device.
To select Install Then select the twrp installer zip that you previously transferred to your OnePlus 7 Pro.
Slide your finger down to flash the installer.
When the blinking is complete, you will see a restart system button at the bottom. Tap to restart.
