How to disable Configuration Editor (about:config page) in Firefox browser
The Mozilla Firefox Configuration Editor (page about: config) lists the parameters called preferences. Most of these preferences are advanced settings that are not in the Options panel. Improperly modifying them can cause strange behavior or lead to browser failure. So, if you want to prevent access or disable the configuration editor in Firefox, follow the instructions below.
Disable the configuration editor in the Firefox browser
To disable the configuration editor (about: Configuration page) in Firefox, you must:
- Disable about: Profiles
- Disable About: Config
- Disable About: Support
- Disable About: Addons.
Please note that this page is for expert and advanced users only. Additionally, the method requires that you make changes to the Registry Editor. Serious problems may occur if you make incorrect changes in Registry Editor. First create a registry backup, then proceed with caution.
Press Win + R at the same time to open the Run dialog box. Type, regedit in the empty box and press & #39; Enter & #39;. After that, go to the next path address –

Create a new key under the Policies key and name it as well. "Mozilla". Again, create a new key under the Mozilla key and name it "Firefox"Once done, select the Firefox key and in the right pane, do the following:
1) Disable About: Profiles
In the right pane, right-click and select New -> DWORD Value Option (32-bit). Name the key as follows:BlockAboutProfiles' and set its value to 1.
2) Disable About: Config
Again, right-click on the space in the right pane and select the New -> DWORD Value (32-bit) option. Name it asBlockAboutConfig ' and set its value to 1.
3) Disable About: Support
Follow a procedure similar to the one described above. Right-click and select the New -> DWORD Value (32-bit) option. Name the key as follows:BlockAboutSupport ' and set its value to 1.
4) Disable About: Addons
Finally, right-click and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) again and name it as follows:BlockAboutAddons' and set its value to 1.
Now close the registry editor and launch the Firefox browser. Open a new tab, type about: config in the address. Press & #39;Enter'Key. Instead of seeing different preferences, you will see an error message saying "Blocked Page", denying access to the configuration editor.
When you do that, you will see a message:
Page blocked, your organization has blocked access to this page.
