3. Start troubleshooting
Microsoft equips Windows 10 with a troubleshooting tool to check for irregularities with embedded Windows applications. Open the settings and look for Troubleshooting. If the Find and Troubleshoot Microsoft Store Apps option appears in the drop-down list, select it.
Click the Advanced option and select Apply repairs automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to see if the problem with Sticky Notes does not work on Windows 10 is resolved or not.
4. Verifying the Antivirus and Malware
Malware and hacking incidents are not new. Your computer could have been affected as easily. Launch the antivirus software and perform a full scan immediately. If you do not have one installed, we recommend that you get one immediately.
Otherwise, download Malwarebytes and run it. Malware is not the same as a virus, hence two separate software. The free version is sufficient, but I recommend the paid version.
5. Disable the Insights feature
The Insights feature allows users to create reminders in Sticky Notes that work with Cortana. This means that the note on all Windows devices will be recalled. Open Sticky Notes and click Settings.
Disable Insights and restart Sticky Notes to check its operation and the use of all its features.
If you can not even open Sticky Notes, go to the next step for now, but do not forget to turn it off once it has started working. You can use Microsoft To-Do to set reminders. This application is also available on most platforms.
6. Reset or reinstall
Open the settings again and click apps.
Under Applications and Features, find Sticky Notes, click it once, and select Advanced Options.
Try the Reset option first. As the Windows Note, the application will be reinstalled, but your documents will not be affected. If the reset does not work, uninstall Sticky Notes. Then download and reinstall it from the Windows Store.
7. Re-save sticky notes
Microsoft recommends that users re-register Windows applications if they do not work as expected. To do this, open Command Prompt or PowerShell with Administrator rights and run the command below.

Right-click anywhere on the CMD screen to paste the copied command and press Enter. No need to type it. Restart your computer and check if Sticky Notes works or not.
8. Restore to the previous point
I really hope that this will not happen in this situation. In addition, you should do it only if sticky notes are really important. Indeed, restoring your computer to the previous save point may delete some files and some settings. So, if you plan to use this solution, I strongly recommend that you back up important data and files.
If you're sure Sticky Notes worked before, you can try to restore your computer at a previous time. Windows 10 automatically backs up frequently. Open Control Panel, search for Recovery and open it.
Click Open System Restore.
You will be presented with a recommended restoration option. Check the date and time. Click Choose another restore point if you want to go back in time or if you need more options.
Select Show more restore points to display a complete list. A few days ago, I uninstalled Office Professional Plus 2021 for Windows to make a restore point.
Just choose a restore point and follow the instructions on the screen. If you are using a laptop, connect it to a power outlet as the process will take some time. You do not want your computer to turn off unexpectedly during the process.
