Sony Xperia 5
You would expect a Sony Xperia 2 after the Xperia 1, but Sony has a different mathematical system. Even so, the Xperia 5 is by no means a successor or an improvement over the Xperia 1. Therefore, the naming scheme seems even more confusing. Fortunately, the existence of the Xperia 5 makes sense, even if it's not his name. This is for the four people who wanted the Xperia 1 in a more compact format.
Design
The Xperia 5 is a smaller version of the Xperia 1. As such, it is very big, with a 21: 9 aspect ratio and very thin, just like the Xperia 1. There are not many differences in terms of design. It's the same glass-on-glass construction, with the traditional Sony design that we know and expect from Sony. As before, all buttons are on the right, including the side-mount fingerprint reader and the two-level trigger key.
Even the thickness of both devices is the same at 8.2 mm. The same glass Corning Gorilla Glass 6 is used for protection at the front and back. The frame of the device is constructed of aluminum. The only visible difference between the Xperia 1 and the Xperia 5 is on the back. Even though it's the same triple camera configuration, it's placed on the left side of the Xperia 5. On the Xperia 1, the camera module was in the middle.
The Sony logo adorns the center of the back, while the Xperia brand is at the bottom. The edges are rounded making the device more comfortable to hold in the hand. The lower edge of the device contains a speaker grille and a USB charging port type C.
Specifications
The front features a 6.1-inch OLED touchscreen slightly smaller than the 6.5-inch screen of the Xperia 1. The screen also displays a resolution of 1080 pixels on 2520 pixels, unlike to Xperia 1 which displayed a resolution of 1644 pixels on 3840 pixels. . The aspect ratio of the screen to the screen is also slightly lower, at about 80.9%, compared to about 82% on the Xperia 1. The overall pixel density of the LCD screen is about 80%. screen is about 449 pixels per inch. The display supports Sony's Triluminous display and X-reality engine technology with HDR.
Although Snapdragon 855+ is available, the Xperia 5 still uses Snapdragon 855 to meet its needs. It's not bad at all, but it's not the last Qualcomm processor either. The chip processor is paired with the Adreno 640 GPU. Like the previous one, the Xperia 5 is also available only in a single RAM and storage option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This can be extended up to 1TB with a microSD card using the second SIM card slot. On the Xperia 1, expandable storage was limited to 512 GB.
Sony has a battery of 3140mAh, which is, according to the current standard, quite small. It supports a fast charge of 18 W at a USB 2.0 power transmission rate.
Camera
The configuration of the triple rear camera includes a 12 MP sensor, f / 1.6, 26mm (wide) with predictive Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS 5-axis. The second is a 12 MP, f / 2.4, 52mm (telephoto) sensor with PDAF dual pixel predictive, 2x optical zoom, 5 axis OIS. At the bottom of the configuration is a 12 MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens f / 2.4, 16mm. On the front, an 8 MP camera sensor with an f / 2.0 lens is also a 24mm wide-angle lens.
